The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, has clarified that the decision to hold an early congress forms part of the party’s broader strategy to reorganize and secure victory in the 2028 general elections.
According to him, comments made recently by the Ashanti and Bono Regional Chairmen were their personal opinions and should not be interpreted as the official position of the party. He stressed that the NPP remains united behind its roadmap for renewal and rebuilding.
Speaking on Nkosuo Nsem, James William Tamakloe emphasized that the General Secretary’s statement reflects the true stance of the party and cannot be easily swayed by individual interests.
