.New Patriotic Party Communication Team Member for Tema West Constituency, has asserted that citing the Ayawaso West Wuogon incident to justify Ablekuma North’s hooliganism is perturbing and warrants unequivocal condemnation.
In an interview on Plan B FM’s Nkɔsoɔnsɛm programme, Edem Tamakloe remarked that the NDC appears to be programmed to reference Ayawaso West Wuogon whenever Ablekuma is mentioned. He stressed that “two wrongs don’t make a right” and such incidents should not have occurred in the first place.
Tamakloe further noted that the NDC’s confidence in winning the Ablekuma North rerun stems from popular policies such as the abolition of the e-levy and the implementation of the 24-Hour Economy.
He commended Fiifi Fiavi Kwettey, NDC’s General Secretary for denouncing the hooliganism, describing it as a premeditated attempt to intimidate and disenfranchise NPP supporters.
Tamakloe concluded, “Ghana first,” urging the President to ensure a peaceful by-election in Akwatia Constituency, safeguarding citizens’ rights to vote without fear.
