Officers from a special Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) squad pursued and apprehend Geoffrey Agbi on May 30, 2025, at approximately 18:20.

The suspect was arrested in his inner office at the Kuntunse Spirit Filling Station gym, which is close to Amasaman.

According to a May 31 press release from NACOC, “A number of items suspected of being illegal drugs were discovered and taken from his office.” Since then, he has been held in custody to assist with inquiries.

Acting on reliable information, NACOC raided four (4) chain stores—a pub, boutique, salon, and gym—located on the grounds of the Spirit filling station in Kuntunse-Satellite on Monday, April 14, 2025, at around 22:00 hours.

Among the five (5) suspects who were taken into custody were Joseph Godsway, a Nigerian national and gym instructor, and Mr. Elvis Owusu Yeboah.

Both Godsway and Yeboah work at Korea Gym, Kuntunse Satellite, in the Amasaman Municipal Assembly. Geoffrey Agbi, the owner and mastermind of the local illegal drug trade, ran away and has been included on the NACOC’s wanted list.

Surveillance of the Spirit filling station indicated that Mr Geoffrey Agbi, after NACOC’s raid at his gym, contracted new persons to aid him in his illicit drug trade at the gym.
