Lead communicator for the Movement For Change, John Adusei Poku, has warned President John Dramani Mahama to be cautious on law reform regarding LGBTQ and galamsey.
Speaking on Plan B FM’s Nkɔsoɔnsɛm show hosted by Odiamono Kwaku Gyimah, Poku charged the President to learn from Donald Trump’s declaration of two sexes, male and female.
“He should be cautious on how he is handling it, and also, the action that has led to the arrest of Bernard Antwi Boasiako, the NPP’s Ashanti Regional Chairman, over galamsey. I am worried, Movement For Change is worried,” he stressed.
On his side, a NDC Communicator for the Kpone Katamanso Constituency, King Etse, said they are not perturbed for not having had any political appointment from the constituency which had stayed loyal and faithful, contributing massively to the NDC’s victory in 2024.
“We believe in the president that in the appointed time, he will reward us with the necessary appointment”, he said.
Selorm Avedetsi, NDC Communicator for the Ningo Prampram Constituency, charged political leaders to acknowledge the warning from IEA on the rise of the Cedi.
“The leadership must stay guard by allowing the authorities to work.”
He said, referencing former Governor of BoG, Dr. Ernest Addison’s complaint on threatening to reduce the dollar rate to strengthen the cedi. He added that leadership skills will make fiscal discipline work.
