DVLA Set To launche First-Ever 24-Hour Service Office In Adentan

DVLA To Institute Reforms In License Acquisition, Renewal Process

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) is set to commission its first 24-hour service centre on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Adentan in the Greater Accra Region, in a bold move to support the government’s 24-hour economy initiative.

Located at the GAPTE (Ayalolo) Head Office near Ritz Junction on the Ashaley Botwe Road (GPS: GD-023-2181), the state-of-the-art facility is designed to bring DVLA services closer to the public while extending access to licensing and registration services around the clock.

“In support of this agenda, the DVLA Adentan office will operate around the clock, offering 24-hour service to meet the diverse needs of the motoring public. This makes the Authority one of the first public service institutions to extend its operations in direct response to this transformative national policy,” said Mr Julius Neequaye Kotey, Chief Executive of DVLA.

The new office will offer all DVLA services, including driver licensing and vehicle registration, with the aim of improving service accessibility and enhancing customer experience.

Mr. Kotey emphasised the Authority’s commitment to world-class service delivery, stating that DVLA is adopting acceptable standards and best practices in line with international trends in licensing and road safety management.

In a further move to enhance transparency and public engagement, the DVLA will soon launch “Time with the Chief Executive”, a new initiative that will enable direct media interactions with the DVLA CEO. The platform will offer journalists and the public opportunities to ask questions, learn about ongoing projects, and offer feedback on DVLA operations.

The DVLA is inviting stakeholders, the media, and the general public to attend the commissioning ceremony and experience what it describes as “the future of public service delivery — fast, efficient, and accessible anytime.”
