Ahafo Region: Truck with failed brakes kills 30-year-old pregnant woman

A 30-year-old pregnant woman, Susana Fosuaa Agyeman, has tragically died after being struck by an articulator truck with the registration number AS 636-14, which was carrying wood.

The incident occurred around 4:30 PM on Friday, April 4, 2025, in Noberkow, in the Asunafo South District of the Ahafo Region, when the truck failed to brake.

An eyewitness said Susana Fosua Agyemang, the deceased met her untimely death after returning home from hawking. Her lifeless body has been taken to the morgue for preservation.

Another eyewitness, Ama Echaa narrated that the truck had a failed brake leading to the accident.

Eyewitness: “Yesterday around 4-5pm, we were selling when an onlooker prompted us that a track had lost its brake so we started running.

While we were running, we realised one lady was hawking from Bibieni to Patako who in the rush of the moment, fell at the point where the car also summersaulted leading to her death. ”

The driver and his mate are allegedly on the run, while the Asunafo South District Police Command has initiated an investigation into the incident.
