Prof. Opoku-Agyemang Undergoes Treatment at UGMC

Vice President urges MPs to support efforts of gov’t in dealing with galamsey

Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is set to travel abroad for further medical treatment following a sudden illness that required urgent care at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC).

According to a statement released by the Presidency, the Vice President fell ill after work on Friday, March 28, and was treated at UGMC on Saturday.

Medical experts have recommended additional specialized care overseas to ensure her full recovery.

The statement, signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu (MP), Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications, assured the public that the Vice President’s condition is being managed with the best available expertise.
