“People You Perceive to Be Corrupt Must Be Sent to Court, Not Social Media” – Richard Anning to AG

“People You Perceive to Be Corrupt Must Be Sent to Court, Not Social Media” – Richard Anning to AG

A Communications Team member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Tema Central Constituency of the Greater Accra Region, Richard Anning, has urged the Attorney General to prosecute individuals suspected of corruption rather than addressing the issue on social media.

During a panel discussion on Plan B FM’s Nkosuo Nsem show, hosted by Obidehyie Kofi Sekyi on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, Anning expressed disappointment with how the Attorney General is handling corruption-related matters.

“Send those you perceive to be corrupt to court, not social media,” he asserted.

“If the Attorney General cannot do his job properly, it would be better for him to step aside rather than resort to propaganda tactics,” he added.

“Corruption and related cases are degrading our dear country, Ghana. I do not support it, but addressing corruption issues on social media is a non-starter,” he stated.

Anning further emphasized that the Attorney General’s actions should be scrutinized, as they could be contributing to financial losses for the state
