The Member of Parliament (MP) for Tema West Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Hon. James Enu Esq., has acknowledged the ongoing water crisis in Tema West and pledged to work with the government to address the issue.
In an interview with Obidehyie Kofi Sekyi on Plan B FM’s Nkosuo Nsem show on Friday, March 21, 2025, Lawyer Enu expressed dissatisfaction with the previous administration, led by former President Akufo-Addo, for failing to expand water supply production over the past eight years.
“The whole country is experiencing challenges with water supply,” he stated. “The previous administration, under the leadership of former President Akufo-Addo, did not expand water production and supply, which has contributed to the current crisis.”
He further noted that President John Dramani Mahama, in his first State of the Nation Address (SONA), emphasized the need to expedite all projects related to water production expansion.
“Water is life, and as the population grows, water production and supply must also be expanded,” Enu stressed.
He assured constituents that he would do everything within his capacity, alongside the government, to help resolve the water crisis in Tema West and Ghana as a whole
