The Black Stars went into the game under pressure after failing to qualify to the 2025 AFCON while failing to score a win in six qualification outings.

The game against Chad however, started perfectly for the stars with Antoine Semenyo netting as early as the second minute when a  cross caused a frenzy in the penalty box before falling to the Bournemouth forward who calmly slotted it in the back of the net.

Ghana continued to dominate having the lion share of possession but lacked the finishing touch until Athletic Club forward Inaki Williams rose-up to meet an in-swinging cross to head in the second of the game 31 minutes in.

The Black Stars then took it up a notch.  A driving run from Antoine Semenyo resulted in him being fouled in the penalty box causing in a penalty. Captain Jordan Ayew stepped up and made no mistake netting the third of the night in the thirty sixth minute.

The second half continued  on the same note with Ghana dominating and causing problems for the Chadian defense. 11 minutes into the second half Ghana got rewarded with a fourth when Ernest Nuamah’s corner kick found the head Mohammed Salisu who nodded the ball in with no pressure.

It was cruise control for the Black Stars from that point. Ernest Nuamah who assisted the fourth goal turned scorer latching onto a cut back from Jordan Ayew before and applying a neat finish into the bottom corner on the 68 minute mark sealing the result for Ghana.
