Renowned speaker and Creative Director of Kess Millinery and Beads, Lady Elizabeth Kesewaa Nortey, has cautioned that the Church’s failure to address sin and its consequences has contributed to a rise in sinful behavior.
In an interview with Nana Asabea on Plan B FM’s social and lifestyle program, Nyansapɔ Fie, Lady Kess stated that the devil has shifted the Church’s focus away from discussing the consequences of sin.
She emphasized that the Church should educate its congregants about the repercussions of sin, just as it highlights the benefits of accepting Jesus Christ. According to her, the Church’s silence on sin has led to an increase in transgressions.
Rev. Michael Yaao Banson, Resident Pastor of Rehoboth Holyfire Revival Ministries International, noted that people’s reluctance to accept advice and correction has further contributed to the rise in sinful behavior. He attributed this trend to a culture of self-centeredness and independence, where individuals prioritize their desires and opinions over spiritual guidance.
Rev. Banson stressed the importance of seeking wisdom and counsel from spiritual leaders, mentors, and the Bible.
Meanwhile, Rev. Dr. Christiana Otoo Lartey, Senior Pastor of the Assemblies of God, cautioned that betraying or harming others can have severe consequences, citing the law of karma.
She urged individuals to treat others with kindness and respect, recognizing that their actions can ultimately lead to their own downfall. Rev. Dr. Otoo Lartey emphasized that success often depends on relationships with others, and harming others can disrupt this delicate balance.
In conclusion, Lady Kess’s warning serves as a reminder of the importance of addressing sin and its consequences within the Church. By speaking out against wrongdoing and emphasizing the need for guidance and correction, spiritual leaders can help individuals avoid sinful behavior and cultivate a more positive and harmonious society.
