A delegation from the Korle Klottey constituency has submitted a petition to Parliament, calling for urgent action over disparaging comments made against their Member of Parliament, Dr. Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings, on Tuesday February 4.
The petition, which was presented on Wednesday, February 5, was received by the Clerk to Parliament Mr. Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror. The constituents urged the Speaker of Parliament to address the matter swiftly, emphasising the need to uphold the integrity and dignity of their representative.
The specific nature of the comments involved an unknown MP referring Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings as a “daughter of a murderer,” the petitioners believe the remarks were unjust and required Parliamentary intervention. Their action highlights concerns about the need for maintaining respect and decorum in political discourse.
Dr. Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings who represents the Korle Klottey constituency, has been a vocal advocate for her constituents, actively engaging in developmental projects and community initiatives.
