Ghana’s Black Queens have been drawn into Group C for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament, which will take place in Morocco next year.
The draw, which took place on Friday night, revealed that Ghana will face defending champions South Africa, Tanzania, and Mali in the group stage.
Host nation Morocco, Zambia, Senegal, and DR Congo are in Group A, while Group B consists of Nigeria, Algeria, Tunisia, and Botswana.
This draw sets the stage for a challenging yet rewarding journey for the Queens, highlighted by their clash against South Africa’s Banyana Banyana, as well as matches against Mali’s Les Aiglonnes and Tanzania’s Twiga Stars.
The 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will run from July 5 to July 26, 2025, in Morocco.
