A 25-year-old man, Douglas Atta Panyin, has been stabbed to death at Tikrom Baroɔ of the Ejisu Municipality in the Ashanti Region while mediating a dispute.
An altercation began between a woman and a boy which degenerated into fisticuffs.
Douglas, who was close by, decided to intervene, after which the parties went separate ways.
However, the boy later mobilized his friends, who allegedly attacked and stabbed Douglas to death.
Confirming the incident, the twin brother of the deceased, Douglas Atta Kakra, disclosed that the Ejisu police have arrested some suspects.
Stabbing incidents have been rife in the past months.
On Friday, August 30, 2024, Eric Obeng, a well-known driver and Station Master at the Asuom Lorry Station, was brutally stabbed in the head.
Despite efforts to save his life, Eric succumbed to his injuries at the University of Ghana Medical Center.
The incident sent shockwaves throughout the community, with many residents expressing outrage and sadness over the attack.
The police arrested one suspect in connection with the stabbing as investigations proceeded on the case.
