Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club have officially named the Legon Stadium as its home venue for the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season temporarily.
The Phobian Club has picked the recently renovated Legon Stadium as its tentative home base following the closure of the Accra Sports Stadium for renovation.
The National Sports Authority (NSA) announced the closure of the Accra Stadium and Cape Coast Stadium for renovation in the wake of a similar closure of the Baba Yara Stadium since CAF withdrew the approval of the Baba Yara over poor facilities.
However, the club will compete at the Legon Stadium for three weeks with Aboubakar Ouattara’s side set to host Bechem United on Sunday, September 22 at 19:00 GMT.
Hearts of Oak are under intense pressure to beat Bechem after losing two straight games to open the 2024-2025 season. Hearts lost 1-0 to Basake Holy Stars and lost 2-0 to Kpando Heart of Lions.
