Akufo-Addo will go down as worst president in Africa’s history – Nana Oboadie Bonsu

The National President for Concerned Farmers Association of Ghana, Nana Oboadie Bonsu has emphatically stated that, Nana Akufo-Addo’s name will go down in history as the worst President Africa has ever had.

Nana Oboadie stressed that, a country like Ghana experiencing significant famine clearly shows that, the leaders have failed to execute their mandates to their people.

In an interview with Ohene Kinnah on Plan B FM’s ‘Ebaanosen’ show, Nana Oboadie expressed disappointment in current leadership of the country.

“Nana Akufo-Addo’s name will go down in history as the worse President Africa has ever had for failing to curb illegal mining popularly known as ‘galamsey'” he fires.

Nana Oboadie added that, if President Akufo-Addo wants the next generation to recognize him very well as a former president, the he should use the remaining months left for him to vacate office as Ghana’s President to fight galamsey as he promised.

The Concerned Farmers Association of Ghana (CFAG) has sounded the alarm over the deteriorating financial state of the Ghaha Cocoa Board (COCOBOD), which has placed the nation’s cocoa industry in a precarious situation.

Concerned Farmers Association of Ghana is urging a declaration of state of emergency, further urging the government, stakeholders and the international community to act swiftly to prevent the collapse of this vital industry.

In no time, the programmes officer for Peasant Farmers Association of Ghana, Bismarck Owusu Nortey, says it is a bit unfair to blame only nature challenges of the dry spell that has hit Northern Ghana. He asserted that while nature has contributed to the challenges, leadership in the country has failed to adopt measures in addressing issues of climate change and change in environmental patterns.

In response, “Nana Oboadie fires that, President Akufo-Addo must bow down his head in shame for not able to put in measures to address the recent drought and also failed to fight galamsey. Nana Akufo-Addo’s failure to construct the promised dam in the Northern part of the country is as a result of the drought” he stated.
