The police arrested two students for organising their colleagues to lynch a spiritualist on 21 August 2024, who accused one of them of stealing a mobile phone at Twifo Praso in the Central Region.

The two students from Twifo Praso Senior High School  are in police custody for allegedly mobilising their gang to lynch the spiritualist, who has been identified as Abdul Latif.

Abdul Latif, a spiritualist, is reported to have accused one of them of stealing a junior student’s mobile phone.

When the spiritualist Abdul Latif accused one of the students of being the one who stole the phone, the students reportedly mobilised a gang of about ten people, who ambushed and attacked Abdul Latif and subjected him to severe beatings until he died.

They then dug his body in a bush and covered it with weeds.

The police recovered the body and deposited it at the Twifo Praso Government Hospital Mortuary for autopsy.
