Suspected armed robbers have reportedly robbed several homes and gold shops in Wasa Dompoase, the Amenfi East District of the Western Region.

The suspected robbers disconnected the electricity in the area before robbing their victims.

In a report filed on Nyankonton Mu Nem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Asonoba Banasco said three people were shot and sustained varied degrees of injuries.

He revealed that the robbers fired shots into the transformer to disconnect the power source, adding that the robbers came on foot with only one of them in a face mask.

Banasco said two gold shops were robbed, and several gold bars and money were stolen from them, while other homes were also robbed.

The transformer was destroyed, preventing the CCTV cameras from capturing the affected shops.

He added that this was the fourth robbery attack in the area.

He said a similar incident occurred where a mobile money operator and other shops, including a gold shop, were robbed.

The Police have been informed and are currently investigating the matter.
