In a panel discussion on Plan B Fm’s ‘Nkosuonsem’ show hosted by Obidehyie Kofi Sekyi on Wednesday, 24 July 2024, a Communication team member of Movement for Change for Tema, Mr. Felix Kwasi Anan said that, the former road Minister, Hon. Kwasi Amoako Atta has caused financial loss to the state for canceling road tolls.

“E-levy was introduced to replaced the road tolls but now the Finance Minister, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam in his mid-year budget review presentation in Parliament announced the government’s readiness to reimplantation of road tolls.

“Nana Akufo-Addo and his NPP government has mixed sand with our gari for so long” he noted.

He said this after the Finance Minister, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam announced that the government has approved an additional GH¢1.5 billion for settling unresolved claims associated with financial management companies.

Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam revealed that the government has given the green light for the development of a structure for the reimplementation of road and bridge tolls in 2025.

The communication member of Movement for Change, Mr. Felix Kwasi Anan questioned the means of taken the money if road toll is reimplanted.
