Election 2024: Vote for Alan Kyerematen to transform Ghana- Movement for Change

Organised Labour has called off its nationwide strike, which began on Monday 15th July 2024.

The strike was in a protest against the sale of 60% of Social Security and National Insurance Trust SSNIT shares in four hotels.

The decision to call off the strike came after SSNIT, in a letter dated 12th July 2024, informed Organised Labour that it had terminated the intended sale of its stake in the hotels to Rock City Hotels owned by Hon. Bryan Acheampong.

At an emergency meeting held on Monday in Accra, the Secretary General of Trade Union Congress TUC said they had decided to end the strike and requested all workers to resume work today Tuesday, 16th July, 2024. He also indicated that they had given SSNIT a one-month ultimatum to engage with them to address all outstanding issues related to the management of pensions.

In a panel discussion on Plan B Fm’s ‘Nkosuonsem’ show hosted by Obidehyie Kofi Sekyi, a National Communications member of Movement for Change, Mr. John Kofi Adusei Opoku stated clearly that Ghanaians must be careful whom they vote for as President.

“Ghanaians are not benefiting from leaders they vote for most especially the one who hold the Executive Powers ” he said.

“If you still believes that you were born, raised and trained from either NPP nor NDC and you can’t deny your Parliamentary Candidate go and vote for them but try as much as possible to vote for the one with vision, motive and policies as President to drive Ghana to the promise land , Mr. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen is a man of substance” he added.
