Dumsor; Sack GRIDCO and ECG officials -Chairman kwasi Opoku

The Chairman of Tema West constituency of the New Patriotic Party NPP Mr. Kwasi Opoku Bosompem has stated that some staff at the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) and Electricity Company Ghana (ECG) need to be sacked for dumsor .

Speaking on Plan B FM’s morning show NKOSUONSEM hosted by Obidehye Kofi Sekyi, Mr Bosompem blamed these institutions( GRIDCO & ECG)  with their updates on energy matters to mislead the Energy minister which then compel him (Minister) to respond to issues in a certain way.

“If the minister is briefed that the outages is because of faulty transformers and could be repaired in a week, would you like to bring loadsheding timetable?”, there are no timetable because GRIDCO and ECG has not communicated well to the sector minister” he said.

Mr. Bosompem admitted that, the frequent power outages is affecting businesses in the country and causing loss of revenue but promised that the dumsor will would be dealt with before Christmas.
