The leader and founder of Captain Jesus prayer ministry Prophet Isaac Ofosuhene Gyimah (Captain Jesus) has asked President Akuffo Addo to be bold and come out and say something to Ghanaians and the families who lost their relatives during the 2020 general elections.
Speaking on Plan B FM’s morning show NKOSUONSEM hosted by Obidehye Kofi Sekyi, Prophet Isaac Ofosuhene Gyimah said the president has not commented on the 8 lives lost during the 2020 election.
He believes the incident has put the president’s name into disrepute and must say something to change the perception of Ghanaians as we prepare for 2024 general election.
He also asked why the security agencies in the country especially the Ghana Police Service have refused to come out with investigations on what led to the firing and killing of those people.
A total of eight lives, including three minors were lost during the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections. They are Zakaria Samira, 12, Musah Fuseini, 14 Botwe Tackie, 16, Abdallah Ayarek, 18; Tajudeen Mohammed, 41, Dompreh Emmanuel, 36, and Abbas Ibrahim whose age was not stated.
About 15 other electorates also received various degrees of injuries mostly from gunshots in the 2020 general election.
He then urges the Electoral Commission to be prudent in their dealings to avoid any situation that could erupt into chaos before, during, and after the 2024 general election.
