Kweku Poku Bosompem, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Tema West Chairman has denied sharing cash for delegates at the constituency’s parliamentary primaries. He said the cash was not meant to influence voters but was used as transportation for delegates .
Speaking on Plan BFM morning show NKOSUONSEM hosted by Obidehye Kofi Sekyi, Mr. Bosompem said the money meant for transportation hit his account at 4 pm on Friday and was supposed to have been shared with delegates ahead of the primaries.
He said, “due to a delay in receiving it from the party’s national office, I had to share it at the polling center while the election was ongoing, he stated.
He said the monies were shared based on ranks and ranged between GHs1,000 and GH¢200.
