The leader and founder of Captain Jesus prayer ministry Prophet Isaac Ofosuhene Gyimah (Captain Jesus) has stated that LGBTQI+ is an abomination and should not be encouraged in the country because it is against the customs, norms, and traditions, and the Bible as well.
Speaking on Plan BFM morning show NKOSUONSEM hosted by Obidehye Kofi Sekyi, Captain Jesus said that it is very disappointing to hear a well-respected man of God like Cardinal Turkson who knows the traditions and customs of this country talk like this.
“There are more women on earth now than men so why do we encourage people to engage in such foolish and disgraceful acts”
I will tell Cardinal Turkson to retract and apologize for the comment he made about LGBTQI+ to regain his reputation.
Captain Jesus therefore appealed to Parliament to pass the LGBTQI+ bill to restrict people from practicing it.

However, the Pope clarified that the Church still considers same-sex relationships as “objectively sinful” and does not endorse same-sex marriage.
In a recent interview with the BBC, Cardinal Turkson emphasized the need for education to foster understanding of homosexuality, asserting that LGBT individuals should not be criminalized since they have committed no crime.
