The Black Meteors were given a bashing of a lifetime against Morocco as they fell to a 5-1 defeat at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on Tuesday night in the second group game in the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations.
Ghana never got off the mark from the get go as the game became a meet and drink encounter in Rabat.
Michael Richardson, Ismael Saibari, Yanis Begraoui got the party started in less than 30 minutes of play to set the tone for what was a humiliating night for Ibrahim Tanko’s side.
Ghana pulled one back through Salim Adams and almost thought to have had a second when Abdul Fatawu Issahaku scored a long-range strike. However, the goal was ruled out due to Emmanuel Yeboah smartly keeping the ball in play but was actually off the touchline.
The second half started off just like the first as Morocco in 10 minutes found the back of the net twice.
The Meteors will now turn their attention to the final group match against Guinea on July 30.
