A local governance expert Issaka Amon Kotei has said that President Akufo-Addo’s administration lack the pillars of good governance hence messing up the country despite assuring the people of Ghana a sterling leadership.

Speaking to Ohene Kinnah on Plan B FM’s late afternoon show EBAANOSEN, Mr. Kotei noted that, the current administration lacks transparency and  accountability.

He said the government has failed to take responsibility for the numerous corruption allegations that has been leveled against it.

“Ineffective and inefficient use of our natural resources indicates that Ghana is in reverse gear under President Akufo-Addo. We voted for President Akufo-Addo with the expectation that he would provide better leadership, but throughout his presidency, he has sent Ghana backward. What are the actual benefits that Ghanaians have received as a result of voting for him?” He quizzed

Kotei stated that almost every aspect of the economy has suffered under Akufo-Addo.

He said the education sector under Akufo-Addo has faced several challenges with no solutions available to address them.

He particularly chided President Akufo-Addo for approving the decision to have the Ghana Revenue Authority collect property rates, something he noted was to be done by the Assemblies.
