Black Princesses score eleven against Niger in friendly

The Black Princesses easily defeated Niger’s female U20 team with a remarkable 11-0 scoreline in a friendly match at the Accra Sports Stadium.

This victory comes three days before the 2023 WAFU Zone B U-20 Girl’s Cup, which is set to start on Saturday, May 20, 2023.

Ghana’s captain, Stella Nyamekye and Faiza Seidu had an outstanding performance, scoring hattricks.

Additionally, Maafia Nyame, scored two goals, while Helen Alormenu, Tracy Twum and Mary Amponsah were also contributed to the scoresheet.

The game started with Ghana testing Niger’s goalkeeper within two minutes, and Maafia Nyame scored in the 4th minute to give Ghana the lead.

Faiza Seidu and Stella Nyamekye added goals in the 12th and 15th minutes, respectively.

Maafia Nyame and Stella Nyamekye scored again in quick succession after the 24th minute.

Faiza Seidu and Helen Alormenu extended Ghana’s lead to 7-0.

Three-goal heroine, Faiza Seidu scored the eighth goal just before halftime.

In the second half, Ghana’s U20 team continued their dominance, with Stella Nyamekye completing her hattrick to make it 9-0.

Tracy Twum and Mary Amponsah scored the tenth and eleventh goals, securing a comprehensive victory for the Black Princesses.

This match served as valuable preparation for Coach Yusif Basigi’s team ahead of the upcoming WAFU Zone B U-20 Girls tournament.

Ghana has been placed in Group A, along with Benin and Ivory Coast, while Niger is in Group B with Togo, Nigeria, and Burkina Faso.
