Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo, a former Member of Parliament for the Kpone-Katamanso Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said that he is impressed with the outcome and the conduct of the supporters in the just-ended presidential and parliamentary election.

Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo in an interview with Nana Yaw Abrompa on Plan B FM morning show ‘NKOSUONSEM’ said everything went on well throughout the campaign and during the election day and also commend the police for the professionalism shown at the event.

He said the 297,603 votes representing 98.9% pulled by Mr. Mahama last Saturday is a step in the right direction which should lead the NDC to victory in the 2024 general election.

”I know everything, if you are intelligent you could have seen the outcome of the results, so i advised Dr. Duffour to step down for Mahama because the majority of the NDC were yearning for Mahama to come because of his experience”.

He stressed that he is not surprised that about 17 of the incumbent MPs lost their seat to their opponents in the battle because earlier some of the constituents complained about the attitude of some members of parliament.

“No matter your contribution on the floor of parliament, when your behavior is questionable your people will vote you out when they fill neglected” he articulated.

He advised the newly elected parliamentary candidates to do their work well and relate accordingly to their people to avoid the calamities that ruined their predecessors.

” Elections are won two years before the time and elections are lost two years before the time if you dedicate your time and relate well with your people, they will campaign to maintain your seat without any stressed”
