The Devil is at Work, Pray For Me and My Appointees – Akufo-Addo Begs Ghanaians

“Vote For Me If You Are Tired Of High Tax Rate”-Akufo Addo’s Old Campaign Tweet Pops Up

President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has called on Ghanaians to pray for him and his appointees to restore the nation to its former glory days.

He made the request while speaking to Catholic Bishops at the Episcopal Ordination and Installation of Rev. Msgr. Samuel Nkuah-Boateng as the new Bishop of the Sehwi Wiawso Diocese in the Western North region.

The President urged the clergy and believers to preach the message of the Gospel of Christ to mankind to create a serene society. He requested prayers for his appointees and himself to discharge their responsibilities with humility and integrity.

“Please pray for me, the government and the people I have appointed to various positions that we will exercise our responsibility with humility and integrity,” he said.

In addition, the President assured the people of Sehwi Wiawso that the town roads would be completed before the end of his tenure of office. The new Bishop of Sehwi Wiawso, Bishop Samuel Nkuah-Boateng, promised to continue serving the Diocese as usual and impact the believers to know Jesus Christ more in their lives.

The Paramount Chief of Sehwi Chirano, Okogyeaman Nana Kwaku Gyamprah, also expressed his support for the new bishop of Sehwi Wiawso. He affirmed the traditional authority’s resolve to provide unflinching support for the Bishop.

The President’s call for prayers is not the first time he has made such a request. In 2020, he urged Muslims to pray for the country in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. He also encouraged Christians to do the same during the Easter festivities.

The President’s request for prayers highlights the importance of faith in the country’s development. It also underscores the need for leaders to seek spiritual guidance as they discharge their responsibilities.

By urging Ghanaians to pray for him and his appointees, the President has demonstrated his commitment to serving the nation with humility and integrity.
