C/R: Farmer, 39, jailed 14 years for sodomising boy, 13

A 39-year-old farmer has been sentenced for fourteen years imprisonment in hard labour, for sodomising a 13-year-old Class six pupil at Gomoa Mankessim in the Central Region.

The suspect, Asiedu Eric popularly known as Agya Yaw according sources sodomised the boy on his coconut farm.

The Suspect is said to have asked the victim to escort him to pluck coconut since the latter is good at doing that.

However, upon reaching the farm, he forcefully pushed the boy to the ground, removed his pants and sodomised him against a coconut tree.

He then warned the victim not to tell anybody what he’s gone through. But after the victim fell sick and was sent to the Gomoa Oguaa Health Centre, he informed his parents what had happened to him.

Asiedu Eric was then arrested by the Agona Swedru Police.

A test was run on the victim and was confirmed that he has been sodomised.

The suspect was arraigned before the Agona Swedru Circuit Court Presided over by his Worship Jonathan Nunoo and was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment.
