Jubilee House, the seat of Ghana’s government is reportedly angry with the Director-General of the National Lottery Authority(NLA), Mr Sammi Awuku for using the struggling state agency’s fund to finance the media activities of Vice President Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia.
According to sources at Jubilee House, President Akufo-Addo has also queried Sammi Awuku on why he is using state funds to finance the ambitions of the Veep and his own dreams.
It is suspected that Sammi Awuku is using state funds to unseat the ‘president’s daughter’, Nana Ama Dokuaa Asiamah in the race for the Akuapem North Constituency seat in the Eastern Region.
As reported by some sources from the Jubilee House, President Akufo-Addo has registered his displeasure with Mr. Awuku’s recent action despite working together to champion Dr. Bawumia’s presidential agenda
Nana Akufo-Addo has since chastised the NLA boss for behaving to satisfy his personal interest thereby depleting the agency’s resources.
