Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has signed a four and a half year deal with English Premier League side AFC Bournemouth.

Semenyo completed his medicals and the deal worth 10 million Pounds with add-ons was agreed between Bristol City and Bournemouth.

Bournemouth had two previous transfer bids worth about the same valuation turned down by Bristol; the add-ons in the third bid got the deal done.

Semenyo is a versatile player who has spent time playing across the front line be it as a center forward, a left winger or right winger.

He joins fellow African forward Dango Ouattara 20 million Pounds from French Ligue 1 side Lorient.

He joins Bournemouth after enjoying spells at Newport County and Sunderland and is expected to aid the Cherries fight to avoid relegation.

Semenyo has been in fine form since returning from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar; he has scored four goals in five games. The London born forward committed his international football career to Ghana last year.

He featured in Ghana’s 2-3 loss to Portugal as the Black Stars crashed out of the tournament at the group stage.
