It’s irresponsible to report we went to pray on the Galamsey grounds – Rev. Frimpong Manso

Reverend Paul Frimpong Manso has debunked Media reportage that the clergy visited the Galamsey sites to pray for God to intervene in the menace.

Speaking on Neat FM morning show, reverend Paul Frimpong Manso said it was very irresponsible reportage by some media houses to trivialise the issue at hand. He said some politicians want to ride on every little issue to make unnecessary propaganda, but that should not be the case when it comes to the fight against Galamsey.

He said the clergy went to the site to assess the situation at hand and hold a press conference against the menace. He said they could not have hold any press conference when they have not physically seen the situation at hand.

He said the individual Pastors have been speaking against the situation but this time they want to make it a collective call, that is why they had to walk to the site.

“It was an irresponsible reportage and our purpose wasn’t to pray on the Galamsey ground. Prayers are integral part of everything we do as Christians, even when we are about eating, we pray” Reverend Paul Frimpong Manso
