The Booing Of Akufo-Addo Must Concern Any Well Meaning NPP Person

The Booing Of Akufo-Addo Must Concern Any Well Meaning NPP Person

Pharmacist and Research Fellow at the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), Kwame Sarpong Asiedu, has asserted that, the booing of President Akufo-Addo must be of concern to any well meaning NPP person.

In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Sunday, 25th September 2022, he wrote;

“You can continue cocooning the President from the realities of life for the common man. You can continue telling him he is the best President Ghana ever had. You can continue flooding social media with ludicrous propaganda that only the gullible believe. Sadly, all you have ended up achieving is ensuring he blows the huge goodwill he had in 2017.”

Dr Aseidu added that anyone who has watched the booing from yesterday would accept that, the brand Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is increasingly becoming toxic. This is what must concern any well-meaning NPP person. He added.

The President needs to charge his intelligence officials to gauge accurately the anger and despondency amongst our citizens. For some of us, Afrobarometer Round 9 was enough evidence of public perception on the president.

He argued that the booing wasn’t orchestrated, it was a build-up of spontaneity. Hence, no one should try the spin that those gathered were predominantly NDC. If that strategy is tried, the advantage that could be attained from this low could be lost.
