Reports according to MyNewsGh.com indicate that some market women have been attacked by unknown assailants.
The women were headed for Bawku from Sankase in Togo on Sunday September 18, 2022 when they were attacked.
According to the reports, one of the victims has died whiles two are in critical condition.
Five of the women are said to have sustained gunshot wounds.
It’s not clear what triggered the attack.
In recent times Bawku has become a hotspot for violent attacks as a result of the Chieftaincy conflict between some factions.
However, the recent attack cannot be linked to the conflict especially because there is not enough information.
