The Upper West regional executives of the New Patriotic Party has urged party supporters and sympathisers in the region to boycott president Akufo Addo’s tour to the region
According to the leadership of the party in Upper West region, the regional minister, Dr. Bin Salih Hafiz has hijacked the entire activities regarding the president’s visit to the region, hence their decision to leave everything to him and boycott every activity of the president during his tour.
Speaking to the media during an emergency meeting on Wednesday October 17th, 2022, the Upper West regional communication director of the New Patriotic Party, Mr Ahmed Sadat revealed that the regional minister is not involving any other executive in the preparations towards the coming of the president but formed his own secret group which he has entrusted to do the organising and any other activities towards the president’s tour.
He said the action of the minister seem to suggest that the party faithfuls are not needed and an attempt to draw a line between the government and the party members of the region. visit when he comes to the region.
