Armed robbers who attempted to rob a twenty-nine-year-old Uber driver at Lashibi have been arrested by the police.
The name of the twenty-nine-year-old Uber driver is Jones Adu.
According to Jones Adu, two (2) men ordered an Uber at Achimota and he arrived to transport them to their destination.
The two (2) men were heading to Lashibi in the Greater Accra Region and the price of their transportation fee was sixty Ghana Cedis (GH¢60).
When Jones Adu got to Lashibi and decided to collect the transportation fee from the men, they told him that they have no money in their pockets but rather in their mobile money wallet.
Jones Adu told the two (2) men that mobile money service is allowed so they can send the money to him at the moment.
Not knowing the two (2) men were armed robbers and unfortunately, one of them tied Jones’ neck with a robe while the other pointed gun at him.
Jones Adu struggled with the armed robbers and bit one of the robbers’ hands.
The robbers pushed Jones Adu out of the vehicle and bolted away.
The police traced the robbers and finally, they have been arrested.
