The operators of the Kakum National Park(KNP) in Cape Coast in the Central Region have announced alternative routes to the park and canopy walkway and park.
In a public notice, management of the park said: “Rains and floods have made the road to the Kakum National Park (KNP), from Cape Coast (The Jukwa route) inaccessible.”
It is therefore urging visitors to the KNP to use the four alternative routes instead.
Visitors from Accra to are entreated to use the “Yamaransa Junction- Assin Foso-Twifo-Praso.”
Whilst vistors from Kumasi are to use “Dunkwa-On-Offin –Twifo-Praso-Kakum.”
Also, visitors from Takoradi are to use Daboase-Ateiku-Twifo-Praso- Kakum.”
It stressed that: “Some of these routes will extend your drive time by approximately, an hour.”
Management of the Park added that: “Updates will be announced periodically, as road works progress.”
