Are These The Only Men? Prof Gyampo Quizzes Why Akufo-Addo Has Not Reshuffled His Ministers

Asking Teachers To Resign Over Poor Conditions Of Service Is ‘Foolish Talk’ – Prof. Ransford Gyampo
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

A Political Lecturer at the University of Ghana, Professor Ransford Gyampo has quizzed whether the current ministers in the Akufo-Addo led government are the only men. He asserted that the inability of the President to commence a reshuffle in his government has clearly denied Ghana of the brains and expertise that could have been tapped for national development.

In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, 8th June 2022, Prof Gyampo wrote;

“The President’s inability to undertake a major reshuffle of his ministers has palpably denied Ghana of the brains, talents and expertise that could have been tapped for national development. Are these the only Men? This precedent isn’t worth emulating!”

The comments of Prof Gyampo comes as a background to the call by some Ghanaians for President Akufo-Addo to reshuffle his ministers. Since his second term, no major reshuffle has taken place.

It can be recalled that in July 2019, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo reshuffled some ministers in his government. That was before the election 2020. Prof Gyampo believe that reshuffling some of the Ministers might help Ghana.
