Asogli State Council Reacts To Paul Adom-Otchere’s Claims Against Togbe Afede

The Asogli State Council has responded to some allegations made by the host of Metro TV’s Good evening Ghana, Paul Adom-Otchere, following the rejection of ex-gratia by Board Chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak Togbe Afede who is also the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State.
The Asogli State Council in a statement sighted by Plan B News said;
“our attention has been drawn to comments and allegations made by one Paul Adom-Otchere in his Good Evening Ghana programme on Metro TV on June 7, 2022, during his discussion of Togbe Afede XIV’s rejection of ex-Gratia payment made to him.”
Below is the full statement:

Togbe Afede XIV  returned a huge amount of GHS365,392.67 paid to him as ex-gratia by the state for serving on the Council of State between 2017 and 2020.

Togbe Afed in a statement on Tuesday June 7, 2022 said he does not think it is appropriate to be paid ex-gratia for a part time job he did for the state for which he received monthly salary.

“I want to add that my rejection of the payment was consistent with my general abhorrence of the payment of huge Ex Gratia and other outrageous benefits to people who have by their own volition offered to serve our poor country,” he said in a statement.
