The ranking member of Parliament’s Mines and Energy Select Committee, John Abu Jinapor, says there’s an audit report of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transport Company Limited (BOST) that contains stinking revelations.

According to him, he will stretch the matters to their elastic limits BOST appears before the committee in the coming weeks of February.

Speaking on Metro TV- Good Morning Ghana, Mr. Jinapor told host, Dr. Randy Abbey, his plate is full of issues coming up and he wants to take his time to deal with them one after the other in a professional way.

He further sends word of caution to Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo) to come to the committee prepared with all needed documents. Because there are equally serious issues and breaches there to be dealt with.

The NDC Member of Parliament for the Yapei-Kusawgu Constituency also made claims that according to the Minster (Minister of Finance), part of the Price Stabilization and Recovery Levy has been borrowed to pay pensions. This he said is contained in the 2018-2019 Energy Sector Levies Account Report.

Mr. John Abu Jinapor said the energy sector levies have been abysmally managed.

Speaking on the increases in fuel prices, the former deputy Energy Minister holds the view that government can fall on the price stabilization fund to cushion Ghanaians.
