It was a sad situation at Kasoa earlier today as a speeding trotro crashed a motorcycle on the busy highway which from Accra to Kasoa. The accident caused massive traffic on the highway for some hours before the situation was calmed.
The sad incident occurred after the trotro vehicle which was known to have suffered a break failure crashed the motorcycle before hitting a nearby electrical pole which was beside the road.
A number of people got injured and were rushed to the hospital immediately but it has not been determined if any deaths were recorded.
According to some eyewitnesses who spoke to the media, the trotro driver was at fault for the accident. They explained that, the speed at which the trotro vehicle was moving was beyond the usual road speed limit.
Some people also believed that, the trotro driver had no option than to crash the car into a building or an electrical pole to stop the car from causing further harm.
“From where I was standing, I saw the trotro vehicle moving at a very high speed before it crashed the motorcycle. After realizing what had happened, the driver decided to hit a nearby electrical pole before the car stopped”, a young man who witnessed the incident said.
