The leadership of Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) , following an unfulfilled promise by the government has announced to embark on a nationwide industrial action from January 6, 2021.
In a press statement copied to Plan B News stated the Association’s intention to withdraw its services across all the 46 public Colleges of Education in the country come 6th January 2022, CETAG said the strike is on basis of unpaid arrears.
CETAG in the release indicated it signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the government on September 24, 2021, after reaching an agreement through negotiation on 2017-2020 Conditions of Service (CoS) for it members.
But, unfortunately, the months of October and November 2021 ended without any payments being made to members of the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG), a situation that has made them frustrated.
