Kantanka Automobile Delivers First Tranche Of 85 Pickup Trucks To NIA

Kantanka Automobile Company Limited, wholly owned Ghanaian entity specialized in the manufacturing of automobiles, has delivered the first tranche of 85 pickup trucks to the National Identification Authority (NIA) to bolster operations.

The NIA took delivery of 17 Kantanka Omama brand of vehicles, as the first batch of the 85 trucks expected to be supplied under a three-tranche purchase agreement, at a short presentation exercise held at the NIA head office.

The Kantanka vehicles procurement arrangement by the NIA is in compliance with the government’s directive for the various state agencies, authorities and enterprises to patronize made in Ghana brands or locally manufactured products.

Speaking to the media on the sideline of the presentation exercise, Communications Manager, Kantanka Automobile, Akwesi Kurnchie, indicated that his outfit has demonstrated over the years that it believes in Ghana and determination to innovate and produce essential goods for the people of this country, and the presentation of the cars to NIA is a demonstration.

He further stated that the Kantanka Omama Pickup trucks would enhance the smooth operation of the NIA’s project of establishing district officers across the 16 regions of the country to ensure the public get easy access to the Ghana Card.

“Kantanka Omama has been carefully engineered for off road performance and efficiency. With built-in 4×4 system, you can maneuver any road condition with ease and less effort.

This is the first batch of the supply. We are supplying over 85 vehicles and these cars are really made for the Ghanaian terrain. We are urging every government institution and individuals to patronize Kantanka products,” he said.

This model of vehicle made by the company, he said has the capacity to aid day to day operations efficiently with its low fuel consumption capacity.

In addition, he emphasized that as every institution and individual demand quality products and services, so do Kantanka brand also believes in top-quality products, hence the Omama line of vehicles are of world class quality to deliver excellent services that will meet expectation of the NIA.

Kantanka Automobile Company Limited is a vehicle manufacturer and assembly company with the objective to manufacture and assemble cars with higher added value, expand Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and create a niche market with new types of vehicles that give value for money to medium and lower income earners in Ghana, Sub-Saharan Africa and the rest of Africa.

It specializes in the manufacturing of on-road and off-road vehicles that meets the challenging nature of the Ghanaian and African terrain.

The Kantanka range of cars includes both saloon and four-wheel drive vehicles. Notable among these vehicles are: Kantanka Nkunimdie SUV, Kantanka Omama Pickup, Onantefo 4×4 pickup/SUV, Otumfuo SUV, K71 small SUV, and Kantanka Amoanimaa.
