A 30-year-old mother of two, who has been identified as Agnes has been burnt to death at Nkawkaw Kurofofrom in the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly while her 9-year-old daughter is in critical condition.

Information gathered by Agoo News, Owusu Aduomi indicates that the incident occurred after Foster Onwona, the suspected boyfriend of the deceased allegedly torched the room.

The 9-year-old who sustained various of injuries after being rescued by neighbors was rushed to the Nkawkaw Holy Family Hospital but was referred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital due to the nature of her condition.

Speaking to Agoo News, the elder sister of the deceased, Grace Adormaa said, their family has never supported the relationship of her younger sister and Onwona after realizing that Onwona has a wife, but their efforts to separate the two proved futile.

“There have been several misunderstandings between Onwona and my sister to the extent that at times it even gets worse leading to the pulling of cutlass,” she added.

She said these attacks were reported to the police but the suspect has never been arrested.

The suspect, Onwona Foster, is on the run while the Nkawkaw Police has commenced investigation into the matter.
