The Coalition of Private Health Facilities of Ghana is pleading with the government to post health professionals to its members.
Speaking at the 1st annual general meeting Ashanti regional chairman, Francis Fosu is worried inadequate human resource is militating against the operations of the sector.
“Government should consider private health facilities as one of the places helping shape the health of the populace”
“When these students complete their programme, the government posts them to the government and CHAG intuitions”
In an interview on Plan B FM’s ‘Ebaanosen’ show with Bohyeba Afriyie on December 1 2021, the Vice President of the Association Dr Samuel Boakye , indicated that the government is not being fair to them in the sense that CHAG is also a private hospital but unlike them they are posted with health professionals and the Government pays them as well and so it’s expected of the Government to do same for members of their association.
He also stated that members of their Association are ready to go on an agreement with government which is footing half of the payment of professionals posted and Government doing the rest if not so then Government should allow them to train their own health professionals.
