Nine Arrested For Selling Wee At Asuom

Nine suspected persons including a female are currently cooling off in the custody of the Asuom Police in the Kwaebibirim Municipality of the Eastern Region for selling hard drugs.

The suspects namely; Kate Otiwaa, Asimah Emmanuel, Marfo Peprah, Paul Ankomah, Asiedu Daniel, Kofi Nyarko, Kwarteng Michael, Kwadwo Kyei, and Samuel Amuzu were arrested in a swoop upon a tip-off last night.

According to a police snippet sighted, the suspects were arrested together with some quantities and 1,049 wrapped plant substances suspected to be Indian hemp.

The Police found on them, two boxes of Sparkling Kingsize rolling papers, one parcel of plant substance suspected to be Indian hemp, one pack of Rothmans cigarette which contained 5 pieces of cigarette, two polythene bags containing plant substances suspected to be Indian hemp, and 5 packs of Cicada Rolling papers.

The Police further mounted a search in the house of Suspect; Asimah Emmanuel, where they retrieved three sacks of plant substances suspected to be Indian hemp,  six yellow tablets containing plant substances suspected to be Indian hemp, and three boxes of tramadol.

Meanwhile, the suspects have been detained in cells, and exhibits retained at the station pending investigations.
