Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, speaking during the Minister’s news conference on Sunday, September 26, 2021, said the GHS has begun deploying vaccines to all 16 areas.

Ghana received 1.5 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccinations from the German government on Sunday to assist with the vaccination campaign.

He also mentioned that places with high infection rates will be given priority.

Over a million people have been vaccinated, with roughly 800,000 of them receiving a full vaccination. More vaccines are expected, according to Dr. Kuma-Aboagye.

On Friday, September 24, 2021, the GHS began the next phase of the COVID-19 vaccination launch with AstraZeneca vaccine shots.
