President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will today, Thursday, 16 September 2021, submit a list of nominated Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) to the Minister for Local Government and Regional Re-organisation Dan Botwe.

This was disclosed by the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin in a Facebook post.

Mr Dan Botwe, he said is expected to announce list very soon.

The government has been criticised for the delay in appointing new MMDCEs with some critics arguing that it is stalling developments across the country.

However, the Presidency has rejected claims that the delay in appointing MMDCEs is hampering development.
