The Secretary to the President, Nana Asante Bediatuo, has seriously shot down claims that he has sold the Accra Art Centre.
In an audio recording currently circulating on social media, a yet-to-be-identified woman is heard alleging strongly that she had set up a meeting between the Secretary to the president, Nana Bediatuo, and some chiefs for the sale of the Art Centre.
But in a quick reaction to the claims in a statement released from the Office of the President under the hand of Nana Bediatuo, he says that “I wish to put on record that I have never met this unnamed, unidentified woman or the elders and the chiefs she claims she brought to meet with me”.
He described the allegation against him as “baseless allegations, pure fabrications and malicious”.
He further states in the letter released to the media and sighted by Plan B FM that “She does not state the date of the meeting, the place where the meeting took place, and the names of the elders and chiefs who accompanied her to the alleged meeting. That is because the so-called meeting never took place, or at least not with me”.
He has therefore entreated all well-meaning individuals to disregard the audio, avoid its circulation and treat it with utter contempt.
